A guide to getting started on SolusOT
When you login you will be at the Temple Garden, with the depot upstairs.
Starting out
The first thing you should do after you change your outfit is open your backpack and wear a weapon.

Next, enter the Newbie Portal. You will be transported to a starter island telling how SolusOT is unique.

Once you finish the starter island, including the brass helmet quest, you can begin your adventure!

Go down from the garden into the hole, this is the trading center.

Go east through the cavern and start killing bugs. Kill bugs and cast exura or utevo lux to gain your magic levels.

Once you are halfway to level 9 and have at least magic level 1, go back to the trading center. You will see a portal to the north, this is called the Walk of Quests. Go inside.

Whenever you come here, you can see hints for many different quests for your level. Go to the first sign and it will tell you about the level 8 quest.

When you are finished in the Walk of Quests, go back to the beginning and enter the portal.
The exit
You will now be back at the Temple Garden. Go down once again into the bugs, and this time fight your way east through the cave.

When you come to a split between north and south, go south across the bridge.

At the end of this small section of cave is the treasure chest with your reward, a blue vase.

Ooo, let's sell some treasure.
By this time you should be level 9. Head back to the trading center, then go up. Go east to the path, then northeast until you see a building with NPCs inside and training monks on the rooftops.

Go upstairs and the south shop is Lola. You can sell your blue vase for 700 gold here.

Then go downstairs, and go north around the building into the first shop, Soya. Here you can sell the loot you collect.

The other NPCs in this building do just about everything you need - rune selling, fluid selling, rope and shovel selling, and so forth. Just northwest of the market center you can find Brulicks wandering the street, he will sell you multicolored backpacks so you can keep organized.
From here, you should complete more quests from the Walk of Quests. These quests will upgrade your newbie chain set and will provide you with equipment upgrades all the way to level 50. After that, you must track down the quests by yourself.
